Browsing and analytics

The web server may process ordinary request information such as the requested page, IP address, browser information and access time to deliver and protect the website. This website also uses Matomo analytics to understand visits and page use.

Matomo is configured without tracking cookies here. Analytics requests can include page and referral information, device/browser information, an IP address and the site hostname. We do not claim that this makes all analytics data anonymous. The tracking configuration respects the browser’s Do Not Track signal.

Product searches and external links

When you submit a product search, the words you entered are sent to the external product-search service in the search URL. Avoid including personal information in a search. Product categories and other external links open another website, which applies its own privacy practices.

The guide does not ask you to create a shopping account or provide payment information. The local budget worksheet works in your browser; its entered amounts are not submitted by the worksheet or stored by it.

Guide Help messages

Telegram and WhatsApp are optional contact methods. If you use them, the messaging service processes information under its own terms, and the recipient receives the message and profile information the service makes available. Send only what is needed to explain your question.

For questions about information you have sent to Guide Help, use the same channel. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or one-time verification codes.

Your choices and updates

You can use the informational pages without submitting a product search or a help message. Browser privacy controls may restrict analytics requests. This policy may be updated if the way the website handles information changes.
